1 - Refuge
Vittorio Sella al Lauson (2584 m)
Easy mule track till the first bridge, then
follow the steep path on the left of the river.
Offers a picturesque view on the Apostoli
group and of the glaciers. The walk to the
refuge may allow you a glimps of ibexes, chamois
and also marmots. In half hour, possibility
to reach the small mountain lake of the Lauson.

2 - Crossing
Refuge Sella – Herbetet (2435 m)
From the Sella Refuge follow the mule track
till the Lauson lake and then continue until
you reach the cottages of the Herbetet (average
height of 2500m). The path is partly exposed.
For the return take the path N.23 till Valmiana
and Valnontey.

3 - Leonessa
bivouac (2910 m)
From the Herbetet cottages follow the easy
hunting trail on the left and continue on
the ridge of the moraine. From the bivouac
you have a very close view on the Tibolazione
Glacier. Continuing straight on will allow
you to reach the Herbetet Pass.

4 - Money Alps
(2324 m)
Easy walk in the bottom of the valley. The
slope begins on the left just after Valmiana
alps with a spectacular panorama of the Tribolazione,
Gran Crou and Apostoli glaciers. The bivouac
of the same name is reached by climbing the
moraine frontally.

5 - Cogne (1534
m)
Two nice paths on both sides of the river
will take you to Cogne through the forest
and the suggestive Sant’Orso prairie.

6 - Cogne toward
Baben (1748 m)
A 20 minute walk uphill will take you to Baben’s
cottage, then the path descends again towards
Cogne.
