The Hotel Restaurant
La Barme is situated in the heart of
the Gran Paradiso National Park, just 2 km
from the village of Cogne. The building and
its location are in perfect harmony with the
quaint rustic village of Valnontey with its
beautiful mountain scenery and wildlife. This
charming hotel has been developed from a cluster
of authentic old mountain buildings, in keeping
with the local tradition of stone and wood
in valdôtain style. It is charming and
quaint . The hotels unique situation is a
superb base for walking and hiking in the
summer and cross-country skiing and icefall
climbing in the winter.
This family run hotel was initially converted
from an old dairy into today’s charming
hotel. The grey weathered timber and stone
walls give a rustic appearance. Outside, a
large sunny terrace and a little garden offer
breathtaking panoramic views of the valley
and wild mountain landscape. The small restaurant
offers a menu of local Valdôtain fare
and a fine selection of local and Italian
wines.

The simple white-washed walls and pale pine
furniture give the interior a homely and comfortable
feel. Guests can read or chat in the cosy
living-room which has touches of colour added
by the candy-red enamel stove, the red and
yellow seats and the red Alpine flowers painted
around the door frames Our 15 bedrooms also
offer our guests comfort during their stay
and are furnished with boiserie on the walls,
light green moquette (carpet), wooden bed,
coloured duvet, and all-white bathroom, every
room has sat-TV and direct-dial phone. This
calm and intimate atmosphere suites especially
to non-smoking guests.
The wellness centre
For your relaxation, the Hotel has a small wellness centre offering Jacuzzi, sauna and massages. Without forgetting the underground garage and the cross-country-ski and mountain-bike rental.
Out of respect for the environment heating and hot water are produced by an ecological wood boiler.
The Camping Lo Stambecco
